Job Overview:Berry Recruitment Darlington are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join a team for a long-term booking at a location in Masham. This is an ongoing role that requires both lunch and dinner services, with a flexible schedule. The position is available immediately, and we are looking for someone who can commit to the outlined working hours.
Working Hours- Example of shifts below-
- Wednesday: Lunch only (10am – 2.30pm)
- Thursday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
- Friday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
- Saturday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
- Sunday: Lunch only (10am – 2.30pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations during lunch and dinner service.
- Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
- Manage kitchen staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver menus that meet quality standards.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen functionality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Pay Rate:£19.00 per hour, paid weekly every Friday for the hours worked the previous week.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
