Job Specification: Head Chef – (Masham, North Yorkshire)

Job Overview:Berry Recruitment Darlington are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join a team for a long-term booking at a location in Masham. This is an ongoing role that requires both lunch and dinner services, with a flexible schedule. The position is available immediately, and we are looking for someone who can commit to the outlined working hours.

Working Hours- Example of shifts below-

  • Wednesday: Lunch only (10am – 2.30pm)
  • Thursday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
  • Friday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
  • Saturday: Full day (10am – 8.30pm)
  • Sunday: Lunch only (10am – 2.30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations during lunch and dinner service.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Manage kitchen staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver menus that meet quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

Pay Rate:£19.00 per hour, paid weekly every Friday for the hours worked the previous week.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent service.
  • Flexibility to work across the outlined schedule.
  • Ability to start immediately is preferred.
