A London-based local authority is looking for an Ecology Officer to play a key role in shaping biodiversity policy and assessing planning applications on an initial 12 month long contract. This contract offers the chance to make a real impact on Biodiversity Net Gain while working across both the Planning and Sustainability teams.

The Role:

  • Provide expert advice on Biodiversity Net Gain in planning applications
  • Help develop and implement ecology and sustainability policies
  • Work closely with planning officers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure environmental objectives are met
  • Conduct site visits and contribute to ecological assessments

Key Details:

? Rate: £50+ per hour

? Contract:12months initially, with a strong chance of extension

? Working Pattern: Hybrid 1 day per week in the office or on-site (may reduce over time)
