Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer Location: Barnsley – On-site position Salary Range: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum. Yoh are currently working with a scaling company looking to add a Electrical Senior Controls Engineer with an electrical understanding. Our client are a turnkey engineering solutions specialist and provides design, manufacturing, and project services across multiple industries with expertise includes moving structures, nuclear engineering and large scale engineering components. They are looking for a senior controls engineer to join and take ownership of large, long lasting products to work with projects that could have a life cycle of multiple years. Located in Barnsley they are looking to have candidates on-site however they are looking to move towards a flexible working in the future. The responsibilities of this position will include: * Design and program PLC systems primarily using the latest Siemens software. e.g Siemens TIA portal/ S7 * Produce and create Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and (SDS) * Production of test documents (FAT/SAT) acceptance testing. The right candidate will have: * At least 6 years experience working within Controls Engineering, more desirable to have been working in a Turkney solutions environment. * Knowledge of industrial control systems including electrical distribution equipment, motor control centres, and PLC control panels. * Understanding of CAD software, ideally AutoCAD.
