QA/QC Engineer – MEP Systems (Contract Role) 📍 Location: Shotton Mill, Weightbridge Road, Deeside 📅 Contract Duration: 8 Months (Until December 2025) 💼 Job Type: Contract 🕒 Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch break) Job Overview A leading engineering firm is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer – MEP Systems to ensure the quality and compliance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations on a high-profile project. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance procedures, inspections, and ensuring adherence to UK (England and Wales) standards. Key Responsibilities ✔ Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures for: * Mechanical Systems (Fire Fighting, Sanitary Water, Cooling Pipework, HVAC) * Electrical Systems (LV Cabling, Lighting, Lightning Protection, ELV Systems) ✔ Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications. ✔ Review and verify MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. ✔ Perform site audits and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality deviations. ✔ Work with subcontractors to maintain quality standards throughout the project. ✔ Implement and manage Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP) for MEP installations. ✔ Maintain and organize QA/QC records, test reports, and approvals. ✔ Assist in commissioning and handover procedures, ensuring compliance with system functionality. ✔ Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and corrective actions. ✔ Ensure all work adheres to UK MEP regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Requirements ✅ Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering. ✅ Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects. ✅ Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection processes, and testing procedures. ✅ Familiarity with UK (England & Wales) regulations, codes, and best practices. ✅ Experience in NCR management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. ✅ Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents. ✅ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. ✅ Excellent communication and reporting abilities. ✅ Valid UK work permit required.
