Job Title: Trainee Wood MachinistLocation: GlenrothesRemuneration: £12 – £13 per hour (dependent on experience)Contract Details: Temp to Perm (12-week trial period)
Responsibilities:Join our clients dynamic manufacturing team as a Trainee Wood Machinist! We're searching for motivated individuals ready to kickstart their careers in bespoke architectural joinery. You'll be involved in producing high-quality products for prestigious projects across the UK. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating various wood machinery: Spindle Moulder, Surface Planer, Thicknesser, Table Saw, Re-saw, X-cutter, Square Dresser.
- Working from cutting lists unsupervised to meet deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail and excellent hand skills.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Experience in a similar role or a factory production environment with machinery.
- A strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
- The capability to follow instructions and set up machinery competently.
- A good understanding of tooling and wood types.
Desirable Skills:While not essential, the following skills will enhance your application:
- Basic machine maintenance experience.

- A valid driving licence and Combilift forklift licence.
