Latin Teacher

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and engaging Latin Teacher to join a busy and well run Academy in North Watford to teach students in Year 7 introductory Latin. With ample parking and accessible routes from London and Watford, this is a part-time role offering the chance to inspire young linguists and contribute to an outstanding department.

Start Date: 2nd September 2025

Assignment Length: Minimum of two terms

Salary: Equivalent to MPS London Fringe - New 4% uplifted rates

Working Hours: 0.6 between Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire (Commutable from Radlett, Bushey, and Borehamwood)

Facilities: Exceptional Humanities department in a traditional school set within beautiful surroundings

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Latin lessons to students in Year 7 to foster a love for classical languages and culture.
• Support students in developing their understanding of Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation skills.
• Incorporate elements of Roman history, mythology, and literature to provide a broader cultural context.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular clubs and enrichment activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the school's high academic standards.
