We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer (Mechanical) to join the team and contribute to the maintenance and development of our extensive estate. This role involves providing expert mechanical engineering knowledge and support across various buildings on the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver professional and technical support for both planned and reactive maintenance of building services and campus infrastructure.
  2. Audit and monitor maintenance contracts, ensuring delivery, commitments, and expenditure are tracked and reported to the Faculty Infrastructure teams.
  3. Oversee the £35M Hard FM contract led by the Principal Contractor.
  4. Offer technical advice and expertise on mechanical maintenance practices to staff and contractors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Qualified and experienced in building services or as a Technical Officer.
  2. Strong customer-first ethos with excellent communication skills.
  3. Proficient in diagnosing faults and resolving issues efficiently.
  4. Ability to manage works and communicate technical details clearly to colleagues.
