Location: Shotton Mill, Weightbridge Road, Deeside Duration: 10 months (until February 2026) Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Job Overview We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman (CAD) to create and manage electrical drawings for a large industrial project. You will work closely with the engineering team to produce Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and layouts, ensuring compliance with UK standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD. Create and review SLDs as per project and UK regulations. Draft LV cabling layouts, lighting, lightning protection, and ELV systems, including: Fire Alarm Systems Security Systems Building Management Systems (BMS) Data & Communication Networks Coordinate with engineers, BIM teams, and project managers. Ensure accuracy and compliance with UK electrical codes. Maintain records of design changes and approvals. Support construction teams with up-to-date drawings. Requirements Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field. Experience as an Electrical Draftsman (CAD) in construction/engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Strong knowledge of SLDs, LV/ELV systems, and UK electrical standards. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork. Valid permit to work in the UK.
