TIG Welder

We are currently recruiting for TIG welders to be based at our facility in Droitwich, UK.

The position is to deliver welding duties on a multitude of high-speed rotating equipment from the power & processing industries, including Steam Turbines, Compressors, Pumps & associated equipment.

The role will involve a degree of international travel to complete projects at customer locations or power stations., * Perform TIG welding duties on an array of components such as turbine blades, rotors, stator parts whilst utilizing a variety of materials such as Stainless Steel, Inconel, Stellite and Carbon Steel.

• Interpret drawings and procedures to execute welds accurately.

• To set-up and operate TIG welding equipment safely, to ensure optimum performance.

• Conduct inspection of welds to ensure they meet the required standards.

• Use general hand tools and air tools to prepare and form welds to desired geometry.

• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.

• Demonstrate & actively promote safe working practices in all tasks.

• Ensure work environment is clean, organised and meets safety standards.

• Hold a full valid driving license with the flexibility of travelling as required.

Full training will be provided but the successful applicant must have a solid TIG welding background, preferably from the power or aerospace industry., * Experience of working on-site and within a workshop environment is desirable.

• Willingness to work within a team or on your own.

• Ability to use your initiative to solve problems.

• Willingness to work internationally if required., * NVQ/City & Guilds or similar qualification in welding & fabrication or time served welders will also be considered.

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder with significant experience within the Power or Aerospace sector.
