Qualified Children’s Social Worker

At Cafcass, we are always keen to hear from qualified, Social Work England registered Children’s Social Workers who share our ambitions for children – exceptional experiences, for every child, everywhere and every time.

We are currently recruiting for talented, passionate people to work across Public Law and/or Private Law. You may know these as Family Court Advisers or Children’s Guardians, which is what we call them professionally.

You will potentially be involved in a combination of cases where either families require the assistance to agree on the best arrangements for the welfare and safety of the child(ren) involved or the local authority has serious concerns and requests the involvement of Cafcass in the case.

When you join us, you will be trusted and empowered to work in a hybrid way, provided with the resources, equipment, and support, so you can be the voice of children and young people when the family court makes critical decisions about their futures . Who we’re looking for

Relevant Social Work qualification is essential You must be registered with Social Work England You’ll ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children and families in a social work capacity, although if less and you have relevant pre-qualifying experience we can take that into consideration. Experience in Family Court proceedings and understanding of Private and/or Public Law would be an advantage Organised and resilient with ability to work independently and managing workload effectively
