Location: Scarborough / Home Based Salary: Depending on experience. Job type: Full Time – Permanent. The Role: The Installation Engineer is a key role that ensures we deliver key critical power solution projects to our customers and protect them from any downtime. This role is part of a team to install/upgrade equipment at customer’s locations. Seamless: You’ll provide high quality solutions to our customers ? Specialist: You’ll be skilled in your area, be an expert in a number of Dale processes and be commercially smart. ? Collaborative: You’ll advise your colleagues and input into other work, and also be able to work independently to get the job done. What you’ll do: Duties to include but not exhaustive; • Battery replacement works. • Mechanical fixing of cable containment and equipment to the fabric of buildings. • Cable installation, glanding and termination. To cable schedules. • Intrusive and non-intrusive battery testing. • Battery installation. • Charger system replacement / upgrade and installation. • Commercial UPS installation. • Battery maintenance. • Fault Finding • Industrial UPS installation. • Site surveys. • Installation team leader/permit holder. • Commissioning. • Installation testing to BS7671 What’s important to us: ? You’ll have good time management skills Qualifications: City & Guilds Electrical installation qualification level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent BS 7671 (18th edition IEE regulations) or equivalent City & Guilds 2391. (Inspection and testing) or equivalent Experience: In depth knowledge of AC and DC UPS systems and batteries. Extensive experience of industrial electrical installation works. Suitable training will be provided for the systems on which you will be expected to work. Additional information: Hours of work; 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Flexibility in working hours is required. To include occasional night shifts and weekend working Offshore Working; You may be expected to work offshore as and when required. You may be required to pass an offshore medical and any appropriate training courses/accreditations. Overseas Working; You may be required to work overseas as and when required. Communication; Reports will be required to be completed and submitted in a timely manner, i.e. daily progress reports, time sheets, expenses etc. DBS Check; An application for a DBS certificate will be submitted in the event of you being offered this position.
