CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / operator

Alken Engineering are a sub-contract engineering machine, fabrication and assembly workshop based in modern premises in the High Peak, Derbyshire and operate as part of the Alken Group of companies.

We currently have an opportunity for a CNC Turner who preferably has experience on XYZ Pro-turn lathe.
\\n
Requirements
\\n
Apprentice trained with a suitable work history.
\\n
Experienced working to engineering drawings and an understanding of engineering tolerances.
\\n
Possess a good working knowledge.
\\n
Team player with a positive attitude, demonstrating both flexibility and willingness to solve problems.
\\n
Comfortable working to systems and procedures, but able to think clearly and independently.
\\n
Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
\\n

Permanent position.

39 hours basic working week.

Shop Hours are Mon – Thu 6.00-17.00 (30 mins unpaid lunch break) and Fri 6-13.00.
