We are looking for 3 Senior Social Workers to join our team in the North East Locality and 1 to join our team in the South West Locality. You will lead and manage a team of social workers and community care assistants to support assessment and care management statutory responsibilities, including supporting people with hospital discharge. You will work closely with other Senior Social workers and Senior Occupational Therapy colleagues to screen, prioritise and allocate work. You will also provide oversight and professional leadership for staff delivering statutory duties under Adult and Support and Protection, and Adults with Incapacity legislation.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be a clear and effective communicator. Previous experience of working in a community setting and an understanding of the legal frameworks and the Local authorities statutory responsibilities relevant to Social work are essential.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
