Deputy Care Manager, Vacancy reference: PK62151 A dedicated individual is required to help run a friendly and comfortable Residential Care Home within the Hitchin area as their new Head of Care /Deputy Care Home Manager. The home is an intimate, 25 bedded service which caters for elderly clients and they are a part of an independent, family-run care company with a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. This is a full-time, permanent position paying a starting rate of £15-16 per hour (£29,650+ per annum) and working 4 days per week with only 1 weekend a month. (38 hours/week) This will be a split of both floor and supernumerary responsibilities working 2 days of 9am-5:30am in the office and 2 long days supervising on the floor. You will work in support of the Registered Manager to ensure that the care provided is to the highest possible standards and that all duties are being reliably carried out. Previous Deputy Care Manager experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader or Senior Care Assistant looking to take their first step up into a managerial role. The successful candidate will have previous Team Leading experience in an elderly care home environment with good leadership skills and a strong personality. As Head of Care / Deputy Manager you will work as the link between the Senior Carers and Home Manager, ensuring that the care home’s high standards are maintained.
