  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and publishing to design and implement a comprehensive community strategy for both pre-launch and post-launch phases while ensuring alignment with overarching brand objectives and product goals.
  • Craft strategic and tactical plans tailored to specific channels, driving engagement and growth across social networks, forums and other channels as needed.
  • Establish feedback loop to ensure stakeholders across publishing and development discipline teams remain informed about key community trends, topics, and needs.
  • Design and execute innovative community programs to grow and provide value to the player base as well as sustain excitement and engagement.
  • Foster direct, meaningful relationships with players to build trust and loyalty.
  • Partner with the brand team to create a channel content strategy that supports key campaign milestones and supplementary communications.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the community, working closely with internal stakeholders to relay, monitor, and resolve feedback.
  • Analyze engagement metrics to uncover trends, create campaigns for welcoming new fans, and prepare reports that translate social data into actionable strategies.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to develop and execute communication plans, ensuring alignment with community and brand strategies.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience and ability in creating and establishing communities in the games, entertainment or technology space.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of empathy, understanding the needs and perspectives of diverse player communities.
  • Curious nature to explore and experiment with new ways to engage with and surprise and delight players.
  • Strong organization skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community platforms e.g. Discord, Reddit and others.
  • A proactive approach and motivated self-starter with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and critical thinking when confronted with challenges.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within and outside of the organization.
