NOC (Onsite) Engineer – CCNP, LAN, Wireless, ISE, Firewalls – Edinburgh – £45,000 – £50,000 plus on call
Are you a skilled network engineer looking to work for a Leading Cisco Partner?
Do you want to work directly with stakeholders at a huge client?
We are working with arguably the biggest Cisco partner in the UK to find an Onsite Engineer atone of their flagship clients. You will be providing onsite support, working with multiple different stakeholders, delivering great service and utilising expert skills to resolve issues as and when they arise.
You will be working on incidents, problems and managing service or change requests. You will then update via an ITSM and also be part of the On call team for escalation above 2nd line. Working on Routers and Switches in a LAN environment and can upskill with ISE and DNA if you don't already have a strong knowledge of this. You will be troubleshooting the wireless network and configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls.
Key Skills:
- CCNP certified (or at least operating at this level)
- experience working in a Cisco LAN environment
- Configuring and troubleshooting Routers and Switches – 90's series
- Wireless troubleshooting
- Configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls
- ISE/DNA (nice to have)
- On call 1 in 4
- ITIL/Change management processes.
- Manage and resolve tickets efficiently and update via an ITSM
You will be working a hybrid role – onsite as and when it requires – more so at the start while you familiarise yourself with the site and get your bearing on the devices and cabinets. Once you are up and running you will be more homebased.
