The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
We have a new permanent opportunity for a full-time Corporate Lawyer to join the Business Team (Commercial, Corporate & Employment) in one of our Thames Valley offices (Newbury, Maidenhead or Swindon) office. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ PQE with previous corporate law experience.
The Role
Working as part of a team, you will be working with business owners, corporates and entrepreneurs on all aspects of company and corporate law.
Your caseload will cover a variety of sectors, including IT, tech and life sciences and will include buying and selling companies and businesses, management buyouts and founder exits, shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures, investments from early stage to private equity, group reorganisations, corporate governance and partnership agreements.
You will also be expected to build and manage your own caseload of matters as well as dealing with delegated work and providing full support to more senior members of the team.
A key element of the role will also be attending and promoting the team and firm at business development opportunities and being dynamic in seeking new business relationships and leads.
About you
- 2+ years’ PQE in corporate law ideally with a corporate law firm
- Experience of working on complex mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
- Excellent team player with demonstrable ability to build effective and trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong client-facing and business development skills
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
