At Nexxus Care our Reablement Support Workers are supporting clients to remain in their own home for as long as possible by regaining their independence and introducing new skills. The role of our Reablement Team is to provide short-term home care and reablement whilst focusing on independence and wellbeing. This may include supporting with personal care needs when required.
As this is a Community based role you are required to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car
Working alongside our occupational therapist team to support and identify additional aids and equipment that can help the customer achieve their goals.
The reablement programme can be for up to 6 weeks and is designed to re-enable the client to maintain their independence.
Shift times are 7am- 2pm and 4pm – 10pm, must be flexible to work alternate weekend shifts as a minimum.
The desired candidate will need to be confident in meeting new people, have good communication skills, be caring, reliable, patient as well as observant., Good communication and interpersonal skills including showing empathy to service users
