Allicio are a leading manufacturer of diverse nutritional products, partnering with global blue-chip suppliers to serve the needs of international clients and entrepreneurial brand owners. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will work within the Commercial Team to drive volume and profitability within the consumer packed goods channel, with a focus on sports nutrition.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing an annual budget reflecting up to 25% existing business and a focus on 75% new business.
- Engaging with potential new customers and selling the products and services offered by Allicio.
- Promoting Allicio’s unique capabilities to enhance customer conversion.
- Working with internal colleagues, external suppliers, and customers to achieve volume and contribution targets.
- Producing accurate monthly forecasts in line with company processes.
- Maximising opportunities for growth in terms of volume and profitability.
- Identifying and onboarding sales leads/new customers.
- Attending trade shows and similar events to maintain relationships and attract potential new customers.
- Providing support to the Head of Sales on cross-functional projects.
- Carrying out other sales activities to attract new customers and maintain relationships with existing ones.
To be successful, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Account Manager/BDM role within the contract manufacturing sector, specifically in sports or medical nutrition.
- A hunger and desire to attract and convert profitable new business.
- Previous experience in sales of dry powder products is preferred.
- Proven experience in attracting sales leads and converting them into actual sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and present effective presentations.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end sales process to enhance company performance.
- Proven ability to manage projects successfully.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Organisational skills, attention to detail, and a professional, friendly, collaborative approach.
- A commercial mindset and solutions-oriented attitude.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude.
