Job Description
Full Time HGV Class 2 Driver Wanted.\\n\\nWorking day and night shifts as required (48-Hours per week minimum guaranteed).\\n\\nStart and finish times vary on each route will be discussed at interview.\\n\\nDelivery and collection shift patterns will be discussed at interview.\\n\\nBasic Pay Rate £692.20 per week (£35,994 Basic Annual Salary Equivalent).\\n\\nNights Out Allowance and Overtime Available.\\n\\nDepending on experience and interview feedback we are offering a 12-week working trial on a temporary to permanent basis, or a straight permanent position.\\n\\nYou must have driver class 2 HGV experience with rigid and curtain sided vehicles.\\n\\nWe are located just outside of Southampton and are offering a fantastic opportunity to work for a major Haulage company and logistics provider.\\n\\nRelatively new drivers will be considered if you have the relevant skills and licences.\\n\\nExcellent communication skills and a fluency in English will be required as you will be in constant communication with our client’s customers, and other members of the business.\\n\\nIt is essential you can always demonstrate the highest level of professionalism both internally and externally.\\n\\nYou must hold a British driving license, a valid CPC and Digi card and have no more than 6 points on your license with no previous DR or DD endorsements.\\n\\nKey responsibilities and accountabilities:\\n\\n * Supervise loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured.\\n\\n * Ensure with the Loader that the load is correct against the customers’ orders and documentation.\\n\\n * Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make, respecting client requirements.\\n\\n * Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and printed name.\\n\\n * If any errors exist mark documentation accordingly and consult with manager.\\n\\n * Provide excellent customer service.\\n\\n * Handle customer issues on delivery effectively.\\n\\n * Carry out deliveries in a timely and safe manner.\\n\\n * Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law and SSOW.\\n\\n * Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.\\n\\n * Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.\\n\\n * Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.\\n\\n * Comply with fuel directives from the traffic Department.\\n\\n * Ensure you comply with all the company SSOW.\\n\\n * Report any accidents immediately and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.\\n\\n * Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and return to the traffic office.\\n\\nHours of Work:\\n\\n48 hours Guaranteed\\n\\nBenefits\\n\\n * Weekly Paid Role\\n\\n * Competitive Pay Rates\\n\\n * Guaranteed 48-hour week\\n\\n * Overtime available\\n\\n * Nights Out allowance\\n\\n * 23 days holiday per year\\n\\n * Company pension scheme\\n\\n * Life insurance\\n\\nApply Now – All CVs will be reviewed
