Job Description
The purpose of NEON’s network is to bring together people working for social justice to learn, connect and organise.NEON hosts a network of almost 1.5k members working in a wide range of social movements and roles. We run regular socials and events to bring together network members in person, we provide them with regular updates of the work we do and the resources we offer, and our network is a resource for NEON folks to identify the organisations and people they want to collaborate with to build the capacity of social movements. Members also use the network (via the Mobilise app and mailing lists) to share their own work and start conversations on many issues, from politics to strategy to communications and more.
NEON’s network is key to what we do. We want to grow it and make it an even more useful resource for members, so it becomes a home for people working across social justice movements in the UK. This role will take a lead in designing and delivering a strategy to do that, focusing on developing and delivering creative ways to expand the network and the engagement of members with NEON and with each other. A big part of this is organising public events and accessible webinars & trainings to engage the widest possible audience, and finding new ways to grow our online community. But it’s also about building strong relationships with the people in the network and expanding our offer to meet their needs, while helping to increase the reach and impact of NEON’s programmes. You’ll have considerable scope to experiment in this role.
