We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity that has opened up for an (Mechanical) Engineer within our clients manufacturing facility, in Irvine.

The ideal candidate will be a time-served engineer with a background in mechanical engineering; basic electrical knowledge would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cold end equipment for job changes, ensuring it meets the required specifications for the new task.
  • Participate in job changes by setting up and adjusting cold end equipment to maintain efficient operations during and after the transition.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical faults in cold end equipment to enhance efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Modify and adjust cold end equipment as needed to ensure smooth operations and reduce downtime.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow established protocols.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail in maintenance tasks.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Time-served Engineer with a mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience in a role that requires multi-disciplinary skills is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and continuous improvement practices.
  • Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations, including conducting risk assessments.
