We are excited to be recruiting for a Head of Retail Operations to oversee our retail business at London’s iconic Southbank Centre – Europe’s largest arts complex. Home to hundreds of performances, events and exhibitions each year, and incorporating some of London’s best known seasonal outdoor bars, we manage a total of 14 different retail outlets on site, from speciality coffee shops to rooftop cocktail bars and late-night live music venues.
Location: Southbank Centre
Rate of pay: £50,000-£60,000 per annum + amazing benefits!
Key responsibilities
- Plan, oversee and report on the safe, legal and efficient day to day operation of our retail businesses on site in close cooperation with the client’s own management team.
- Collaborate with our Culinary, Events and Commercial/Logistics teams to provide support for our Events and Hospitality business.
- Work alongside the senior management team to develop new concepts, review and drive innovation within our portfolio of venues, and ensure we remain at the forefront of current food and beverage trends.
- Implement and lead a culture of safe and responsible operating in your team, striving to meet and exceed legal, company and client expectations at all times.
- Recruit, train and mentor personnel within the retail team, ensuring excellent service standards across the business and nurturing a succession pipeline of internal talent for promotion and further development.
- Effectively manage costs and expenditure in coordination with other heads of department to ensure we consistently deliver a successful P&L without compromising on customer experience or client expectations.
