They were awarded one of the fastest growing top 20 companies a few years ago and continue to boast a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. Role A great opportunity for a Business Development Manager ready to take their career to the next level! This position will have direct line management responsibilities and will be primarily office-based in the Midlands, split between 70% new business and 30% management (small sales team). Compensation Base Salary: £60K – £70K Commission: 6% of GP for life, no threshold Company car or car allowance Key Responsibilities Find and qualify companies that fit targeted customer segments. Gather facts by involving key decision-makers, assess company risk situation including pain points and develop account strategies to win opportunities. Deliver confident sales presentation, via either videoconference and/or face-to-face – with senior-level decision makers, overcome potential objections and close the sale by finalizing pricing conditions. Develop timelines to ensure successful implementation of solutions, including integration into customer supply chain and, successfully sign the contract with the customer. Ensure compliance to all agreements, achieve high level of customer satisfaction and retain strong customer loyalty by nurturing the partnership. Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the entire sales cycle. Provide complete and accurate visibility of the entire sales pipeline. Lead and manage existing sales team in the Midlands office. Qualifications Experience in freight and logistics industry, with Air, Ocean, and Road freight preferred. 3–5+ years of sales experience. Demonstrated track record of driving sustained growth, hitting sales targets and the ability to build and nurture client relationships. Ability to motivate and guide a sales team toward achieving goals.
