Based in their modern factory in Hampshire, our client is a leading modular building manufacturer delivering state-of-the-art projects. They are at the forefront of construction innovation, utilising advanced manufacturing technologies: creating a more controlled and efficient process and offering a potential solution to the UK’s housing shortages, providing rapid and efficient delivery of homes. Not only that, but modular construction also often results in less waste, better energy efficiency, and a reduced carbon footprint.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Head of Production/Production Director/Operations Director who has lived and breathed World Class Manufacturing, taking what they have learnt and pragmatically applied it successfully into different (perhaps more traditional) environments, changing them for the better.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will lead the manufacturing strategy and budget and will oversee a skilled workforce, taking accountability for a change management journey encompassing an effective and inspiring leadership style while implementing modern manufacturing methodology to drive manufacturing performance, increase capacity and reach ambitious growth targets.
Alongside other members of the senior leadership team, you will define the culture and environment required to manufacture the next generation of products; develop structures, systems and skills within the existing and new workforce in readiness to meet and successfully overcome the challenges as they rapidly grow.
Who we\’re looking for?
- A proven track record leading autonomously a large manufacturing operation, with a multi-discipline team, within a complex assembly or OEM environment such as automotive, rail, marine, aerospace, modular construction or off-highway vehicles.
- Extensive leadership skills with a history of delivering progressive cultural change enhancing employee capability and business unit performance.
- Experienced in driving measurable and sustainable site performance improvement through implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Complete ownership of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety.
