Heat Trace is a manufacturing and engineering company with our headquarters and main manufacturing unit in Helsby Cheshire, we also have two manufacturing facilities at Bredbury, Stockport.
The prime activity of the business is the manufacture of highly technical heating cables for use predominantly in the oil and gas and advanced processing industries.
Main Purpose of Post: Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to consult with existing and potential new customer on a wide range of products.
Expand market awareness of products and expertise, managing projects and relationships with customers.
Provide both pre and after sales advice.
Support customer service/sales team with queries and customer requests Main Responsibilities: Liaise with Customers to assist with technical aspects of business development Identify customer needs, handle queries, agree specifications, engineering adaptations of products Develop and support customer base, identify new markets, potential customers and new accounts AutoCAD LT/Inventor or Solidworks Look for the opportunities to upsell products/create new opportunities Generate technical sales proposals and contracts Maintain customer communication and sales in CRM Develop, manage and deliver sales administration, reports and data Research options/request quotes for outsourced components of project/custom product Work with the wider team to ensure development schedules are being met Support the wider sales team as required Develop and maintain long term customer relationships Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education/after sales support Prepare cost estimates liaising with the Engineering & Technical Manager Provide input into the design of custom made product About you: Professional/ Qualifications & Education: HNC or Degree in a suitable engineering, technical or mechanical discipline (Essential) Experience: Technical Engineering/Specifications (Essential) ISO 9001 (Essential) Customer facing/sales role (Desirable) 5S experience(Desirable) Lean manufacturing (Desirable) Offshore manufacturing (Desirable) Hazardous Area Products (Desirable) Knowledge/Proven Ability: Working to tight deadlines (Essential) Managing project work, multiple projects simultaneously (Essential) Commercial Acumen (Essential) Experience in the heating element industry (Desirable) Experience in the Heat Tracing (Desirable) Skills: Excellent IT skills (MS Office) (Essential) Use of CRM systems (Essential) AutoCAD LT/(Essential) Solidworks/AutoCAD Invertor (Desirable) Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills (Essential) Time management/organisational skills (Essential) Innovative (Essential) Proactive (Essential) What we can offer you: Cash Health Plan Free on-site parking 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising with length of service Company events Company pension scheme Please Note: No agencies.
