Compliance Consultant (field-based) – Homeworker in the South East UK with UK wide travel – ARD1083120
Purpose of the Role
This exciting remote based opportunity has arisen to join our Broker Network Risk & Compliance (R&C) Team.
You will provide network members with compliance support through an annual programme of audit and health-check activities, the provision of guidance and support on key regulatory requirements.
We are seeking someone based in the South East of the UK. However, some nationwide travel will be required involving some overnight stays. Full UK driving licence is therefore required.
What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:
- Understand the Networks Proposition from strategy and objectives to operational infrastructure and performance.
- Have a broad and/or specialist knowledge of the FCA requirements in relation to general insurance; understand the rationale behind standards set and be able to anticipate likely changes or demands which may affect brokers/intermediaries.
- Conduct visits and audits of allocated members regulatory processes and systems and controls.
- Identify issues that pose significant risk to the Bravo Network companies, identified through either member audits, member visits or otherwise. Monitor progress of remedial actions through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Provide consultancy guidance and support to members on the key general insurance regulatory requirements through visits and or requests for compliance support, helping to embed a compliant culture within Network members.
- Report on Network member regulatory activity undertaken, including whether key controls are operating effectively and remedial actions.
- Perform remote file auditing for participating members – a service focusing on assessing file handling in line with the ICOBS rules and guidance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of the FCA and key regulatory regimes applicable to general insurance.
- Experience of working in compliance consultancy role within a general insurance intermediary.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practice in compliance and control frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering training.
