Home Textiles Designer

We are recruiting for a home textiles designer to join an established textile design & manufacturing organisation who provide textiles to brands stocked online, in high-street stores, and independents. They have created a new role in their growing Design team for a Designer to work closely with various retailers to create designs for a range of home textiles products – both woven and printed.
THE ROLE
- Developing and designing all-over-prints, graphics, and illustrations for textiles
- As part of the wider Design team, you will be responsible for designing all-over-prints, graphics, and illustrations for the home textile range across a wide range of art styles.
- Working closely with retailers to create designs for a range of home textiles products – both woven and printed
- Working on a diverse range of products across Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen, and Bathroom textiles
- Managing multiple projects from initial brief through to sampling alongside the Buying team
- Preparing designs for initial samples to be sent to mills / manufacturers
- Collating samples received from the mills and sending to customer for final approval / amendments
- Compile Market and Trend analysis, competitor analysis, developing trend packs and design work to target trends for each customer profile
- Preparing the showroom / samples for customer visits
- Working with suppliers in the UK, EU, and Far East
ABOUT YOU
- Proven textiles design experience
- Experience of AVA is required (separations & recolouring)
- A strong commercial design portfolio demonstrating your skills
- Creative flair with and excellent eye for colour and detail
- The ability to multitask and demonstrate a can-do positive attitude
