At home I like to cook, and I would like my support worker to help me with shopping for ingredients and preparing the recipes, whilst also encouraging me to discover new ones.

I also enjoy spending time listening to music and watching videos on my tablet.

My support worker will be part of a team and the working hours will be split between my support workers. Flexibility is important as the hours will also be variable. Sometimes I may need assistance in the evenings or weekends, depending on the activities involved. Working hour will be mutually agreed in advance.

It is also essential that my support worker is a driver with access to a vehicle and the relevant insurance as I will need help getting to and from activities.

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.

Wages will be paid in arrears on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.

You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.

You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.

I am a young man of 21 who is on the autistic spectrum with learning and language difficulties. I sometimes find it a challenge to understand language or to express myself and have heightened senses.

I would like to employ an additional caring, patient, and fun support worker who can help me develop my linguistic skills and who is able to empower me to try new things.

I am an outgoing and sociable person who loves to keep busy, I enjoy going to the park and swimming. I especially enjoy a trip to the seaside and in warmer weather like to get out and do some gardening. I would also like my support worker to help me find some new and exciting activities to do. This also includes accompanying me and supporting me with my current activities and clubs.
