Pay rate: £80.00 – £100.00 p/h – Umbrella
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Cumbria or Rosyth
Fully Remote Working – Occasional Travel
Hours of work: Up to 40 Hours Per Week
Role information:
• Provide specialist advice
• Provide input to design work to ensure nuclear safety requirements are met
• Prepare the safety case strategy
• Manage the work delivery to the agreed costs and quality specifications
• Produce documentation regarding calculations, analysis and designs
• Participate in Identifying and remedying hazards
• Produce safety submissions
• Review and feedback on design changes while rectifying technical queries
Qualifications/Experience Required:
• Degree in science or engineering
• 8-10 years direct and relevant experience of undertaking radiological safety assessments and peer reviews
• Knowledge and experience of regulatory negotiation, safety management and provision of specialist advice
• Experience managing teams to deliver large complex fit for purpose safety cases
• Willingness to train and mentor junior team members
• Experience in developing and preparing safety documentation for projects such as hazard management strategies, safety reports and ALARP arguments
UK National Security Vetting Status – Candidates must be able to obtain UKSV SC Clearance.
