Job Description:

As a Criminal Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality criminal defence services. You will be responsible for handling a range of criminal cases, providing advice and representation at the police station, in court, and at various stages of legal proceedings. Your work will involve dealing with clients, preparing cases, and liaising with other professionals, all within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend police stations for client interviews and provide immediate legal advice in criminal cases.
  • Represent clients at court (magistrates and crown court) for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
  • Advise clients on criminal law, evidence, and their best course of action.
  • Draft legal documents, including legal representations, applications, and case statements.
  • Manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, ensuring high levels of client care and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive legal support.

Key Requirements:

  • A qualified solicitor with experience in criminal law (both duty and non-duty).
