Job summary

Golden Hello eligible! A Golden Hello payment of £2000 (£1000 upon commencement and further £1000 following successful completion of 6th month probation) will be made, provided eligibility terms are met.

We have a position available for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist, we will also consider newer graduates wishing to develop into the post. Why join us? The position offers the opportunity to work in specialist clinics: Nail surgery, Musculoskeletal and Wound care, whilst delivering care to existing high and medium risk patients and assessment of new patients. A domiciliary caseload is also part of the service provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills in a more specialist role or for new graduates to progress from Band 5 to Band 6 over12 months, conditional on successfully completing the developmental program.

Located in NW Surrey, this is a lively area offering great transport links into London, whilst having the advantage of wonderful outdoor spaces. Main duties of the job

Your role as a Band 6 Podiatrist will be to provide a highly effective, comprehensive foot health and protection service for the population of CSH Surrey at a variety of clinical sites including in the patient\'s own home, working towards achieving the objectives and values of CSH Surrey.

Including:

Assessing, diagnosis, develop treatment plans and providing effective podiatric treatments, using a problem solving approach based on clinical need and evidence based practice. Care should have an emphasis on patient empowerment and independence by providing education and information to help patients manage their own foot needs.

Working as an autonomous clinician within Professional, Departmental and CSH guidelines, part of a multidisciplinary team when required and act as a source of advice to patients, carers, GPs and other Health Care Professionals.

Will maintain clear, comprehensive and accurate records, participate in specialist clinical rotations and actively participate in clinical support (clinical supervision) utilising reflective practice.

Keep up to date with clinical and professional developments, maintain CPD and mandatory training and actively participate in Professional development reviews.

To communicate effectively with all patients, carers, relatives, GP\'s, other Health professionals, colleagues and administrative support.
