Job Description
Family Solicitor – Dorset
\\n
\\nI’m looking to speak with Family Solicitors interested in joining a well-established Legal 500 firm with a long-standing presence in Dorset and Somerset.
\\n
\\nIdeally, you’ll be a Solicitor or FCILEx, and the role will be based in Poole, though you could be based in one of their other offices, including Blandford. Occasional travel to other locations may be needed, so the ability to drive is favoured. While full-time is preferred, part-time applicants will be considered. Remote working is available after a probation period, but regular in-office attendance is required (2/3 days a week), so candidates should be within an hour’s commute of one of the offices.
\\n
\\nThe firm is committed to professional development, offering tailored training opportunities and encouraging career progression at every stage. With its strong community presence and active engagement with local businesses and initiatives, it is an excellent choice for those who value building meaningful connections while delivering exceptional client service.
\\n
\\nThe firm offers great opportunities for career progression, along with an attractive and negotiable package based on competency and experience. With a 35-hour working week (9-5 and flexibility around these times) including a 1-hour lunch break. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave plus BH and half-day off on your birthday. Additional perks include a pension scheme, discretionary bonuses, life assurance, a health cash plan, the option for remote working, and participation in social events.
\\n
\\nThis position would suit someone with a strong working knowledge of Family Law, particularly in financial and matrimonial matters. Ideally, you’ll have around 2-5 years’ PQE, but applications from NQ solicitors with relevant experience and the confidence to manage your own caseload are welcome. Strong advocacy skills, experience attending court hearings, and proficiency with case management systems are essential.
\\n
\\nSalary for this role is negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications.
