The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
This is a senior role in the public health division that will focus on leading the procurement of the health visiting service and FNP. The worker will take the procurement from approval stage to tender go-live stage in July 2025. The main deliverables are working with partners including community representatives to design an innovative service specification. You will be working with the Associate Director for PH and the PH Programme Lead for Maternity and Early Years and building on preparatory work (e.g. evaluation and health needs assessment). The new procurement team can assist you with writing other tender documents (e.g. question pack). You will need past experience of leading large procurements (£10m/year), strong experience in public health, ideally health visiting commissioning to ensure that the service specification will meet the needs of the local population, in line with national guidance and within the contract envelope. This will be a satifying project working with team of supportive and committed PH professionals. There is an opportunity to work flexibly (e.g. 3 days over 5) provided key deadlines and events are met/attended.
