Lingfield Park Resort is seeking aHospitality & Events Managerto oversee and elevate our food and beverage (F&B) operations. Working alongside the Catering team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high operational standards and delivering outstanding experiences to our guests.
This role requires an individual with ahands-on approach, akeen eye for detail, andstrong leadership skillsto develop our hospitality offerings and team. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth event planning and execution, optimising labour efficiency, and maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hospitality and events team, setting the highest standards in service and operational excellence.
- Plan and manage duty rotas to ensure optimal event build-up, operation, and breakdown staffing.
- Oversee race day and non-race day hospitality staffing, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Collaborate with the Business Coordinators and Events Executives to develop and refine event proposals and delivery techniques.
- Manage and monitor variable labour costs while maintaining budgeted restrictions.
- Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations and oversee team training.
- Take accountability for high-profile client requirements and event execution.
- Maintain and source inventory for cutlery, crockery, and light equipment, ensuring stock levels meet event demands.
- Train the hospitality and events team in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Organise and oversee the setup of event equipment, including AV, furniture, and tableware, for both racing and non-racing events.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure operational standards are met.
- Manage linen orders and maintain stock levels.
- Coordinate all administrative tasks related to race day and non-race day events.
- Deliver exceptional event execution, including catering and hospitality services.
- Provide detailed staff briefings before events and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Gather event feedback and complete handover documents for continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members maintain professional presentation and conduct at all times.
- Foster strong interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
- Act as a resort ambassador, welcoming and liaising with clients and contractors to ensure adherence to policies.
- Conduct close-down checks on all event areas daily.
