Lead Product Manager (legal domain)
Hybrid: 2 -3 days a week in Birmingham
Role Introduction
The Lead Product Manager will enhance processes, drive efficiency and implement best practices for our Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts across Concept to Market (from Idea to Launch). The role suits someone who has a proven background in product management and product ownership, experience of driving new ways of working and leading through change.
What You Will Do
- Shape best practice and operationalise processes for Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts across Concept to Market.
- Identify new ways of working and drive continuous improvement aligned with Client’s strategy.
- Subject Matter Expert / evangelist for Concept to Market (through a product lens) working closely with Engineering to ensure collectively our Concept to Market approach is world class.
- Define and deliver best practice / process training to drive consistency across Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts.
- Ensure best practice is clearly documented and aligns with our Client Knowledge Management strategy.
- Define and implement certification programmes to drive excellence across Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts.
- Guide teams through our annual strategic product & tech roadmap planning process ensuring quality output and timely completion
- Drive key improvement initiatives across our Client 3.0 Concept to Market programme.
- Work closely with the Product Operations Specialist – Tooling and Data to ensure tooling supports best practice.
- Identify and recommend industry best practices to optimize product processes and outcomes.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in software development and product management
What You Will Have
- Advanced understanding and experience in both Product Manager and Product Owner roles
- Advanced understanding and experience of Concept to Market processes for software products
- Proven experience in progressing software products from concept to market.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent judgement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver training effectively
- Exhibit sound judgement in making timely decisions, considering both short- and long-term impacts
- Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile project management esp. Scrum methodology
- Proactive mindset and traverse from the detail to strategic thinking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with using Aha! software for roadmap planning, GTM, Release Management, Ideas Management
