Stafforce are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Labourer to join our clients production team based in Teesside.The successful candidate will be responsible for grinding, straightening tubes, and dressing welds, using overhead cranes and other related equipment. This role is essential to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. This will be a potential permanent opportunity after a period working through Stafforce. Key Responsibilities Tube Grinding & Straightening: Grind out imperfections and straighten tubes to specified tolerances, ensuring smooth surfaces and correct alignment. Weld Dressing: Smooth and finish welds to meet safety and quality standards, ensuring proper appearance and structural integrity. OH Crane Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and transport tubes and other materials. Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools, machinery, and the work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets company standards and specifications. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all company health and safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Experience: Previous experience in a similar labourer role is necessary Skills Basic understanding of grinding, straightening, and welding processes. Ability to operate an overhead crane (certification is a plus). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow strict safety procedures.Rate of pay is £13.06 and will rise to £13.27 after 3 months. In addition to this there is over time on a Saturday and Sunday paying time and half/double time. We are looking to get people started before Christmas so please apply today if you are interested.
