Mathematics Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Mathematics teacher to join a thriving department. The role involves teaching a range of abilities across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IB Standard Level and A-level Mathematics, with the possibility of teaching Further Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of high-quality, differentiated lessons and provide effective assessments to track student progress. Collaboration with colleagues and the management of the curriculum is essential, as is the ability to support and motivate students of varying abilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging lessons up to IB and A-Level.
• Participating in curriculum planning and development.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Supporting the extra-curricular life of the school.
• Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Promoting safeguarding and the welfare of students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Experience in secondary education, preferably with a strong background in teaching Mathematics at A-level and IB.
• Strong communication, time management, and ICT skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
