We are searching for an experienced IT Technical Support Engineer for our client who are a leading IT service company based in Crawley, West Sussex. Job Overview: * Work alongside the site manager to provide desktop and server admin support * Provide problem solution * Answer incoming calls and raise tickets on internal system * Field service when required * Escalate tickets to senior engineering team * First, second and some basic third line desktop support * Handle quick service tickets over the phone * Assist with the management of queues and bring any issues to the relevant managers attention * Follow problem ticket process to identify potential problem tickets * Manage and update service tickets correctly and adequately * Hit key KPI's to ensure that service desk SLA agreements are met Qualifications: * Minimum of 12-18 months commercial IT Support experience * Proven experience in technical support and IT support roles * Excellent communication skills for effective help desk interactions * Proficiency in software troubleshooting and computer networking * Familiarity with Microsoft Office, VPN, and computer hardware Skills needed: * Experience with administrative tasks associated with Active Directory services * Experience of troubleshooting Office Suite 2013 to 2019 * Experience with Office 365 and Exchange online * Experience with virtualisation for example – Vmware * Experience with monitoring systems * Demonstrate an understanding of technical ability proficient with first, second and basic third line * MS Server and Desktops – MCITP * Support of email systems for client (Exchange, Outlook) & MS Office * Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows 8 and Windows 10 * Good understanding of networking – OSI network layers, TCP/IP, DHCP * Understanding of data protection and data security * Show flexibility – recognise that in line with client requests, from time to time there could be a requirement to work outside of "normal" office hours. * Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast moving, high pressure working environment. * Client and team focused – understand the requirements of each Hours: 9-5:30, Monday to Friday Type: Full time, permanent (Hybrid) To be considered for this position, please apply today and one of our team members will get back to you if you are shortlisted
