Trade Finance Project Manager – Tier One Investment Bank – £750 p/day (Inside IR35) – 6 Month initial contract Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank, seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in Trade Finance to support a critical initiative. They require a specialist with deep knowledge of Trade Finance Products to drive the next phase, particularly as it moves into the Testing stage. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Trade Finance Systems and be able to challenge business stakeholders effectively while ensuring the successful delivery of the project. Role & Responsibilities: Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals with senior management and stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated, resources allocated, and preparatory work completed. Develop and maintain robust relationships with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment on business analysis, development, testing, and implementation activities. Oversee the Testing & Quality Assurance phase, ensuring systems meet business requirements and are fit for purpose. Manage third-party vendors and ensure the quality of delivery within Trade Finance operations. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Identify areas for enhancement within Trade Finance operations, ensuring efficiency improvements and compliance. Provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring transparency on project progress, risks, and key performance indicators. Essential Skills & Experience: Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager in Trade Finance, ideally within banking or financial services. Strong knowledge of Trade Finance Products and ability to challenge business stakeholders on system functionality and requirements. Hands-on experience with Trade Finance Systems (Eximbills highly desirable). Proven track record of successfully managing IT and business projects within complex regulatory environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business functions. Understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to oversee system testing and validation. Experience working in an Agile or hybrid project delivery environment.
