Project Planner\\n\\nAbout the role\\n\\n * As a Project Planner, you will report into the Head of Development, with accountability to specific Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in the Development Team.\\n\\n * The successful applicant will have a technical planning background and in addition will have a good understanding of the phases of construction projects, and previous experience of working on projects with a range of commercial values will be useful.\\n\\n * Expert user of commercially available project planning software\\n\\n * The Project Planner role will require the applicant to be able to generate, combine and manage the plans of numerous projects and to understand where these projects interact\\n\\n * This is an opportunity to join an experienced team and have a significant impact on the successful delivery of multi-million pound contracts\\n\\nDuties and Responsibilities\\n\\n * Develop and maintain detailed project plans that outline tasks, milestones, and deadlines, with input from project teams (either BAL or contractor).\\n\\n * Create an overall project programme by merging individual project plans and ensure this programme is kept up-to-date\\n\\n * Highlighting potential conflicts between projects and ensuring the relevant Project Managers understand the conflicts\\n\\n * Ensuring that all issues within the programme are highlighted and understood by the Project Manager and that they are given appropriate planning advice.\\n\\n * Allocate resources to the plans and highlight any resource shortfall\\n\\n * Be responsible for ensuring that internal planning processes are followed on all assigned projects to allow for consistency of reporting.\\n\\n * Provide project schedules and performance data in a timely manner\\n\\n * Identify any project deviations, and report on changes and delays to the individual projects and how the overall project programme is affected.\\n\\n * Must be able to work under own initiative and as part of a team in the Development team.\\n\\nCandidate requirements\\n\\n * Minimum HNC/HND (construction related)\\n\\n * Able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of planning and construction activities\\n\\n * 3 to 5 years planning experience
