The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

o Devising delivery plans with functional subject matter experts to deliver agreed strategic objectives for possessions, contingency planning, and special events.

o Leading access processes (beyond CPPP) to influence Network Rail to maximise benefits / mitigate impacts to EMR customers / operations – including negotiating late notice alterations to access.

o Leading amended planning and access (beyond CPPP) resources to ensure timetable plan, customer / internal information is produced / published to the agreed specification and is compliant with industry and business process / timescales.

o Accountable for ensuring amended plans are compliant with agreed fleet utilisation and depot capacity rules and agreed train crew utilisation and roster rules.

o Leading interventions to achieve amended planning KPI (performance) targets, and compliance with part D of the Network Code applicable to the amended timetable.

o Establish and maintain tactical partnerships with equivalent roles in Network Rail System Operator / Routes to influence amended planning and possession access outcomes beyond the CPPP process.

o Establish and maintain tactical partnerships with equivalent roles with other operators to influence joint / off route amended planning to maximise benefits / mitigate impacts to EMR customers / operations.

o Establish and maintain a partnership with the Permanent Timetable Delivery Manager to ensure the accuracy and interface of the permanent timetable with the amended timetable.

o Leading the development of re planning amended planning team resources to enable the production of amended plans for emergency and late notice scenarios requiring changes to the timetable plan.

o Review and report the actual performance and output of amended plans against the original strategic objectives, maintaining a knowledgebase to inform the strategic planning for similar future events.

o Lead direct reports, ensuring objectives and deliverables within the accountability of the amended planning delivery team, are delivered to agreed timescales, cost, and quality, and through the required management competencies and business values.

o Experience of an Operational and/or railway/transport environment (desirable)

o Experienced management skills and the ability to motivate, direct, influence and engage with people at all levels

o Proven experience of successful project management and problem-solving complex challenges

o Demonstrable people management and leadership skills to successfully motivate, engage and influence teams

o Knowledge of key team interfaces between departments in EMR and with Network Rail / other operators

o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to influence decision makers.

o Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and able to set and achieve demanding targets and objectives.

o Educated to further education degree or equivalent experience required

EMR has a hybrid working policy, which is applicable for this role with time split between home and on site working. Should you wish to work full time on site this is also an option.

Whilst your base will be Derby Head Office, you will need to be flexible with travelling and working at other EMR locations to be able to support stakeholders in person as required. You will be provided with a First Class duty travel pass to be able to travel around the EMR network and work on the move.
