Quality Inspection Technician – Precision Engineering | £30,000–£35,000 | 4-Day Week! Are you a detail-driven engineer or quality inspector ready to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to transition into a full-time quality role or an experienced inspector looking for their next challenge. What’s in it for you? * Competitive salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) * 36 hours per week, Monday–Thursday (Enjoy a long weekend, every weekend!) * Structured support and development to help you progress into a Quality Engineer role Your role at a glance: * Inspect manufactured and outsourced components, raw materials, and assemblies * Carry out goods-in, first-off, and final inspections * Use manual CMM and conventional measuring techniques (metric & imperial) * Maintain inspection records and upload certifications into the ERP system * Support the creation of FAIRs, concessions, and calibration management * Assist with internal audits (ISO9001:2015), documentation packs, and SOPs You’ll bring: * A strong background in mechanical engineering * Experience in a manufacturing/production environment * Confidence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Solid understanding of ISO9001:2015 quality systems * A hands-on, proactive approach and excellent attention to detail Nice to have: * Engineering apprenticeship * CMM experience and calibration knowledge * Internal auditing experience * Familiarity with ISO14001:2015 We’re looking for someone who’s methodical, collaborative, and eager to continuously improve.
