If you are looking for a break from shift work or are seeking a new exciting career opportunity to develop and enhance your nursing skills, and still be able to utilise your nursing skills but differently helping people, apply and become a Functional Assessor. You will carry out assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.
What we look for:
- An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK
- A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Someone comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
- An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
