Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with the charity Young Epilepsy to find a Community and Events Fundraising Manager; someone to develop and manage a exciting community events portfolio, including successful representation at the annual Carfest festival. The role will be remote but with regular visits to London and Lingfield, Surrey. Although initially for 30 hours per week, there is potential for the role to become full-time.

Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships
Salary: 40,000 pro-rata
Location: Remote but with regular visits to London and Lingfield, Surrey

Epilepsy affects over 100,000 children and young people across the UK. This role will be instrumental in harnessing the support and loyalty of communities across the UK to raise vital funds to ensure all children and young people with epilepsy can thrive and fulfil their potential.
This role will lead a team of fundraisers responsible for engaging communities through and events and fundraising activities across the UK. At its heart the role is about relationship building with individuals, groups and businesses in communities across the country, who all share a passion for the work the charity delivers.
The Community and Events manager will also develop and manage a community events portfolio, including successful representation at the annual Carfest festival. Another significant element of the role is to support a new fundraising programme for the St Piers School and College in Lingfield, Surrey.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven success of charity fundraising with companies and community organisations
- Experience of working in a target-driven environment.
- Experience working with volunteers
- Event management experience
- Experience of successfully delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines
