Major Recruitment are currently looking for a number of Production operators to work for our client based in Yatton , North Somerset . Smart Systems is one of the UK\’s leading suppliers of aluminium glazing systems for both residential and commercial markets, extruding aluminium and manufacturing high performance systems. Company is the most advanced facility of its kind in the UK. Role: Production operator Hours: 3 weeks rotation : Week1 Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00 Week2 Monday to Fri 14:00-22:00 Week3 Mon to Thu 21:30-06:30 Pay : £14.04 per Hour Attractive Overtime Rates : x 1.3 on weekdays x 1.5 first 8 hours of weekend work x 2 second 8 hours of weekend work Main Duties: Working as part of a small team on the Profile Stretcher your role will be to process material to achieve the correct shape and characteristics, ensuring the process runs at optimum efficiency and with zero defects. The next step in the production process is the Profile Saw, your role is to cut the material to the required length, again ensuring the process runs at the best possible speed and with zero defects. The roles are challenging, rewarding and require hard work to succeed. You will be shown how to work safely and optimally with the machinery, a skill that takes time to master. You will be working closely with colleagues, feeding back information so that the production process can be adjusted to ensure the best performance. You\’ll also be expected to monitor the material quality and record the resulting data. We will train you, develop you and teach you new skills. In return we expect a can-do attitude, someone who is a genuine team player, a good communicator with great attention to detail and who is open to new ideas. Working safety is of paramount importance to us. You will be expected to operate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines. All employees are expected to be proactive in identifying opportunities to reduce risk for themselves and their colleagues.
