Typically, This Person will be working for one of our well-established Luxury yacht building clients on the fit out on the boats, this is predominantly first and second fix fitting of all furniture and bespoke woodwork onto the boat. HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business. Day to day duties and responsibilities of the Boatbuilder: Good knowledge of 1st & 2nd Fix Able to understand and work from technical drawings Confident in installing and assembling bespoke units Final fitting of hardware windows, sinks and other parts of the yacht Scribe in units, trim & adjust. Work closely together with other trades Help lay teak decking Competency to work with tight tolerances. Seeks to pursue perfection, with a coach able and engaged attitude Requirements Of the Boatbuilder: There is the opportunity to work 50+ hours a week as a contractor in the role, long term contract Ideal candidates will have to supply own tools, for this role. NVQ level 2 / 3 in Boatbuilder / Carpentry / Joiner or apprentice trained. Must have worked within the marine industry.
