KCS are currently seeking a Banksman for an exciting opportunity in Newport. Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of lifting and site activities. Position: Banksman Location: Newport Hours: 10 hours on-site, 9.5 hours paid Rate: £150 per day Key Responsibilities: * Safely direct vehicles and lifting equipment on-site. * Guide crane and vehicle operators with hand signals or radio communication. * Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in compliance with safety standards. * Monitor site traffic and equipment movements to prevent accidents. * Coordinate with other site workers to ensure smooth operations. * Conduct safety checks of equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Banksman is preferred. * Banksman or relevant safety certification required. * Strong understanding of safety regulations and site operations. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work well under pressure and in all weather conditions. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
