Our Client is seeking a Roofers Labourer on an initial 3-Month contract with the possibility of an extension. Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: £15.18 Per Hour PAYE Location: SM1 4LE Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 07:30 – 16:00 Job Overview: Working with the roofing operative as a second person. Carrying out labouring and support duties. Must have site experience and have completed working at height health and safety training. You will be expected to climb ladders and work from scaffolds using safe systems of work. A clean driving license is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Assist roofers with lifting, carrying, and positioning roofing materials. Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment. Remove old or damaged roofing materials. Mix and apply adhesives, sealants, and other materials as directed. Cut and shape roofing materials to fit specific areas. Keep the worksite clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Follow health and safety regulations, using PPE and safety harnesses when required. Support the team with general laboring duties as needed. Key Requirements: Previous experience in construction or roofing (preferred but not essential). Physically fit and comfortable working at heights. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to work well as part of a team and take instructions. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Awareness of health and safety procedures. A valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
