Non Exec Director

At Ability we are seeking a Non-Exec Director to join our volunteer Board and to sit on our Audit, Finance and Risk Committee. This is an exciting opportunity for an engaged individual to use their experience in Risk Management, Finance or Governance to support us on our strategic journey. As the member of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee (AFR), you will play a pivotal role in scrutinising, guiding and shaping Ability’s strategic direction in terms of risk management, audit oversight and governance. About You The ideal candidate will bring the following: – Experience of internal control, audit and assurance as it applies to small housing providers – Strategic risk management, the ability to identify and assess internal and external risks – Excellent communication skills and have experience of participating in sometimes difficult discussions concerning the needs of the organisation
